Question Question About Repairing Bad Sectors

    Hello, good noon.

Just came up my mind about repairing the bad sectors using software.

Does using a software really repair the bad sectors in the hard disk?

    Thanks and God bless.

Depends I guess if said hardrive is physically failing and has bad sectors because of that or just has bad sectors because file system on hardrive had become corrupted and shows bad sectors.

I have repaired bad sectors though with a
    DistroWatch.com: Parted Magic
cd which I keep on hand for doing hardrive and partition repairs on IDE, Flash, SSD drives.

Use it like a wrench from a tool box so to speak.

Won't hurt to download it and burn a cd and see I guess.

Always back up critical data you wish to keep to external drive/cd/dvd before trying and fixing bad sectors on any hardrive/flashdrive/ssd
