I am planning on adding an out-of-band/Lights-out-management card to my parents' PC. I live far away from them and SSH+vnc just does not cut it all the time.

I just want to get some opinions. I am thinking of AMI MEGARAC G3 SERIES 840 CONTROLLER - these can be had for $130. It's a discontinued product but should be more than enough for what I need.

Are there any cheaper options that I can look at?

I wouldn't mind getting an used card for cheap. Cannot find any on ebay, I thought there would be quite a few available form decommissioned servers. If any one is interested in selling one let me know. I am looking for something very cheap.
