alsamixer doesn't change the real sound volume of my USB sound card

alsamixer doesn't change the real sound volume of my USB sound card (though the dials move okay)

Notice How card and chip are shown. You can also select sound card by using F6. Does your

olexandr, did U solve the problem? Notice when you run: cat /proc/asound/cards
Do the devices switch numbers after booting at different times? Also, did U try alsamixer -c # ? Where # is one of those numbers.
I should not be writing this as I HATE ALSA, nevertheless, did U run alsaconf and alsactl store?
