    External USB DVD drive

    Hi all!

    I bought a Samsung SE-S084 external USB DVD drive but when I plug it in Arch Linux don't recognize it.

    Is it possible to solve the problem?

    It should work since it is a USB 2.0 device. What version of Arch are you using?

    If you plug the drive in and install a CD/DVD, does Arch see/mount anything? Are you trying to read, or write with the drive?
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
