    USB Data Link Cable vs. LINUX

    Hi to all!
    I'm sorry for my bad English, but I have serious question and I hope to find the answer.
    I have USB Data Link Cable, that give good facility of file exchange between two computers. But the drivers and small simple exchange program, which I found on cable's disk are only for Microsoft Windows.
    What can I do for successful workind with this cable?

    Do they both have NIC's? A simple crossover cable would be easier and faster.
