I am a newbee to Linux Device driver and BSPs.I want to Port U boot bootloader and write drivers for perpheral devices for practice and educational purpose.

I have a spare Laptop(x86),

1.can I use that Laptop as Single board Computer that will act as Target Embeded board.

2.What other precaution/Preconditions I have to follow?
