    canon IP2000 printer on linux?

    Hi all. I want to install a Canon IP2000 printer on linux (Ubuntu 10.10) but canon don't do linux drivers and i'm not paying for turboprint so does anyone know of a way to get this printer working with linux?

    Have you tried any of the other drivers for similar Canon printers to see if they will work? Sometimes they will, although they might not give you all the features that a driver for your specific printer would.

    Do you have CUPS installed? It has some drivers that may or may not work with this printer. Tell us what you have tried so far.

    Well i plugged it in to the computer, it went through it's installing driver bit and it works fine. Probably should have tried that first but just didn't think about it. Thanks for the help.

    Yes, having it connected to the computer definitely helps a lot!
