Wireless G on Compaq Presario 3045
Hi all,
I've tried a few different distros of Linux (Mandrake, Gentoo) on my Compaw Presario 3045 and all works well except for the ACPI and the built-in wireless G. (It's a Broadcom brand integrated system.) I tried installing the Broadcom rpm packages that are supposed to give support to built-in wireless, but haven't been successful. I'd really like to dump Windows and get a variety of Linux working on my system. Anyone got any ideas of distros that will allow my wireless to work with Linux?
Thanks in advance for your help!

To the best of my knowledge, most broadcom chipsets only work via ndiswrapper using the Windows drivers. It could be that your chipset is one of those. Look up your chipset on this page and go from there.
