Rubberman, not in Linux when it comes to video encoding, seems Bulldozer has an advantage there. I'm not sure I will even notice the difference in speed with daily tasks like reading mail, surfing etc.
TaZ, thanks for that update on Quick Sync. I'm a bit hesitant to use the GPU for video encoding as the quality of the video is not as good according to the last info I received.
Also, I read yesterday that Trinity will be released in the next few months in a desktop version, might just hang around for that one.
