HELP: GeForce 4 vs. Fedora Core 3
I just installed NVIDIA GeForce 4 linux drivers on my PC which is using Fedora Core 3. I used init 3 and then init 5 to shutdown X and then bring back X. I changed my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file according to the readme that came with the drivers from the official site. I saw the NVIDIA logo as X started. Everything seems fine.
I rebooted PC and then I get this:
(EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the NVIDIA kernel module!
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting ***
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.
Fatal server error:
no screens found
.... <snip>
HELP!

Do a search before posting new topics. The Fedora Core 3/Nvidia problem has been asked about many many times (and possible fixes have been offered). Perhaps another kind poster will give you some links to these threads.

That fix is noted on Fedora Core's site.
