    Handheld scanners

I've been meaning to buy a scanner, but I'm not sure which to buy. In my search, I found some full page handheld scanners .

There aren't many reviews out there, so I don't know if they are trustworthy. But if they work as advertised, it would be perfect for library use, which is my main need.
Does anybody have or has used one of these? Are they worth it? are there any problems with linux compatibility (although I think not, since it saves the image into a SD card)?

(I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this, or even the right forum. If that is the case, please tell me so)

A good site to use before buying one would be to check its model number against - Linux Hardware Compatibility Lists & Linux Drivers

I can be found either 40 miles west of Chicago, in Chicago, or in a galaxy far, far away.
If they are supported with xsane (the Linux scanner driver tree), then you should be OK. I have an Epson full page scanner w/ document loader that works great once I installed the appropriate xsane driver. Remember, google is your friend!
