suspected Hardrive Failing HP Proliant
Hi There,
I'm running Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server Release 5 (Tikanga)
I have a suspected failing drive.
The drive configuration is a Raid 1 configuration done through the HP SMART ARRAY P400I utility. The utility shows that both drives are OK.
I'm getting several errors in /var/log/messages
Kernel: hda: drive_c_md: status=0x51 {DriveReady SeekCom[plete Error}
Kernel: hda: drive_c_md: error=0x04 {DriveStatusError}
Kernel: ide: failed opcode was: 0xb0
Is there any tool that can be used to pinpoint the error messages to either a drive of configuration problem?
Many thanks

A raid array of a p400 on rhes 5 will show as an sd device. sda, sdb, etc.
My guess is, that hda is the cdrom.You must always face the curtain with a bow.
