USB stereo sound capture.
Hi guys
First post here.
Looking for some advice.
I have a stereo mic (3.5mm jack) but the laptop mic input is mono so i need a usb soundcard that has stereo mic input. This is to be used in ubuntu and suse
I was looking for something around 20$.
I have found units that have stereo mic inpt but they seem for professional use. Over 100$...

I think that for stereo (or multi-channel) input, you are going to need something more co$tly than consumer gear. There is a considerable amount of professional gear out there (my brother-in-law is a professional sound engineer who uses Linux almost exclusively), but it will cost you a lot more than $20USD for a set of decent mics.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

It can be purchased from Amazon.com and other sites for about $20-25USD. Generally it seems to go for around $21 and change.Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
