Recovery of data on bootable disk from other pc
Hi all!
I have a broken laptop of a friend here. Since its power connector on the motherboard has melted the laptop cannot be powered up anymore. Now i would like to recover the data on its hard disk via my ubuntu system. What is the best way to recover its data? Should i plug in the hd when my pc is powered down and just boot?
Thanks
Eli

Hi and welcome.
Yes, this is one way.
Another and more convenient way is to get a usb <-> sata adapter.
These dont cost much and safe you the work of opening your pc, connecting the harddisc, close the pc, etc.You must always face the curtain with a bow.
