    For what it's worth. I have the 8192U (USB) model and it is *supposed* to be supported by the 8192U USB module in the kernel staging. It doesn't work for me. I have found that the module that does work is called r8712u. Works like a champ.

    I did find these commands that might help. It works for some and others not so much.

    The actual module name is r8192u_usb.
    There seems to happen nothing new when I manually load that module.
