Hi and welcome
First: fedora 13 is end-of-life. There is no support anymore.

Other than that: As the speakers were working, why (and how and from where) did you install additional software?
So my suggestion would be to backup your data and configs and then install a current fedora18.You must always face the curtain with a bow.
