    Losing CD/DVD Drive

I am running openSUSE 13.1 with an HP PhotoSmart MFP (C309a) connected via USB so I can scan to my system. The printer has the ability to read CD/DVD disks along with some camera media cards.

The problem is that after using the printer, my internal CD/DVD drive is no longer accessible to the system (and in particular K3B for burning disks). The drive is still appears to be "seen" by the system (using YAST, Hardware Info), but I cannot access the drive unless I unplug the USB cable to the printer and restart the computer. (Once I do this, I can plug in the USB cable and use the drive and the printer.)

    TIA

After some more testing, this is not related to the printer, but simply coming out of sleep mode. I'll need to do some more digging to figure out the cause and fix.
