usb connected epson xp-205 printer not found in cups

My Epson XP-205 printer is connected over USB

    Code:
    linux-7bll:/home/mats # lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 04b8:0896 Seiko Epson Corp.
    as Device 004

    Trying in

    http://localhost:631/admin

    "add printer"

    I get

    "Unable to add printer, forbidden"

    and in /var/log/cups/error_log
"CUPS-Get-Devices request failed with status 401: Forbidden"

    Trying

    "find new printer"

    I get

    "No printers found"

    and in /var/log/cups/error_log
"Returning HTTP Forbidden for CUPS-Get-Devices (no URI) from localhost"

What shall I do to be able to use this printer from my (SUSE) LINUX computer?

Has anybody managed to get a working CUPS-USB connection to an EPSON XP-205? Since a few years I have had
a perfectly working connection to an EPSON Stylus C66 from the same computer with the same cable! As far
as I remember that worked right away without any installation difficulties!
