    LED display searching

    Hi all,

I'm search for a 24" LED display with
    1920 x 1080 Display Resolution
    IPS panel
IPS panel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    No pre-set budget

For Ubuntu 12.04/Debian7.3 with available driver.

I have been googling a while there are many models. It wouldn't be easy for me to have a pick. Could you please shed me some light?

    Thanks

    I found following model
    Samsung 24" LED Monitor C24A650X
    Specfication
    24" LED Monitor C24A650X - TECH SPECS | SAMSUNG

But couldn't discover it with ips-panel

    Any comment? Thanks

    Rgds

    Hi,

    Thanks for your advice.

    I found;
    Samsung 24" S24C570HL LED Monitor (16:9,10000000:1,2ms,VGA,HDMI)

    LG 24" 24MP56HQ LED Monitor (16:9,5000000:1,5ms,VGA,HDMI,Spk) - AH-IPS Panel

I have been using Samsung and Philips displays for many years without problem. LG is also a good brand.

I have 2 displays, a 24" Samsung and a 20" Philips, which have been running for several years without problem. My intention is to replace the 20" Philips display with a 27" Samsung display. Unfortunately my table can't hold one 27" and one 24" displays. Therefore I'm compelled to select another 24" display again.

    Ahhh, first world problem

Damn that desk! Hey, you could always upgrade your desk while upgrading your monitor? How about getting a wall mount? You can get a monitor stand on an arm too so the thing sits above your desk not on it?

This problem has been struggling for me several months. This is no space for a bigger table. Neither I can erect a wall mount bracket because there is book shelves bebind. It doesn't have much sense having 2 24" displays with same resolution.

I think I have no alternative solution. Besides a 27" display is a little bid bigger in size for desktop.
