Ive got a USB Network addaptor. does anyone know How to get it running under Fedora Core 3

Maybe try lsusb, tail /var/log/messages (after you plug it in), and dmesg. From those commands, you should be able to extrapolate the chipset said network adapter is running. With this knowledge, you can install kernel sources for your current kernel version (if they aren't there already) and compile the module from there. If it's not driven by a kernel module, then see what google will turn up.
