Please help ive been bashing my head against a brick wall for months

i have a Acer aspire 5935 with a ATI Radeon HD 4570 512mb GPU i can install the latest kubuntu or fedora releases but this is limited to the display on the laptop.

i understand i need to install the legacy drivers for it to work properly and enable a dual head system via hdmi.

with evry attempt ending in either an unusable system or complete loss of gui.

is there a distro which makes this easy the problem with kubuntu was the local.h file not been linked to the build dir got that fixed to have a dkms error when it tried to compile and install the kernel module

it was kubuntu 17.10.1 linux kernel 4.4.36

i recommend putting a plaster on your forehead, taking some aspirin and nailing mattresses on your walls.

no, seriously, you need to give us a clear & usable problem description first of all.
clear your head. breathe deep. then read the first link in my signature.
