Riptide soundcard detection problems under Fedora Core 1

I recently installed Fedora Core 1 on my Hp pavilion 9682C.
I have a riptide soundcard which is not getting detected. So I searched for drivers on the internet, and downloaded the drivers for riptide soundcard and hsf modem from linuxant.com.

A few days earlier I had Red hat linux 9 on my pc. I had downloaded drivers for Red hat 9 from linuxant.com.

As instructed, I installed the drivers, the modem got detected, but the sound card did not.

I removed red hat 9 and installed Fedora Core 1, hoping that it will work on fedora core 1.

I followed the same procedure, installed the modem and sound card drivers.
But again the sound card did not get detected. The modem however got detected properly.

Still the sound card is not getting detected. Whenever i click "soundcard detection" in system settings, it says no soundcard detected.

Even the hardware browser does not show the sound card, but it shows the modem installed.

Please tell me what do i do now. I really want to get this sound card working under linux. Without audio, it is almost useless to me.

Have you tried the FC sound configuration util after you ran a modprobe riptidesound?
