Can external drives still be used in Linux?

For my movie/music collection I am planning on using external drives to make file sharing easier. Also I have an mp3 player that acts as one. Can these still be used, in Linux, particularly in the Dynebolic distro?

I haven't used Dynebolic, but yes it is possible to use external hard drives.
There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.
