    SIS 7012 Surround Sound?

I recently installed Debian Sarge and everything seems to be working fine except 4 a few hardware issues. The main one I'm working on now is my sound. I have a PcChips M848A mobo with onboard SIS 7012 AC97 5.1 surround sound. Normal stereo sound works fine but I can not seem to get the surround sound part to work. Also, in Kmix, I can not adjust the PCM volume. How can I configure the surround sound to use 4 channels??

    Hi!

I had a similar problem one month ago and have spent a lot of time in its solution. As I stumbled upon this post, probably others will, so I'll post the link to a howto I wrote:

    I hope this helps someone...
