Problem with USB
Hello everybody,
I'm having trouble transfering music into my mp3. Everytime i plug in the usb cable for my mp3 its installs the removable disk program but when i try to open it ( My Computer then click Removable disk(G
) its says it cant open be cause of an I/O device error. I have an Aneca mp3 player.

disk G: ... (?) weird..... sounds like a DOS-drive....
(Sorry asking for that, but you're trying all that under Linux??)
Which distro, and kernel do you use? MP3-player file systems should
normally work with the usb-storage modules.
You don't need proprietary drivers for that.
Do you have a hotplug-script installed (for example a script in the directory /etc/hotplug/usb/) ?
Please post the output of 'cat /proc/version' and 'lsmod' in a root shell
once. USB does work under Linux?? Only if there's a functional problem,
post the output of 'lspci -v' as well...
