Need help finding out what kind of memory i have
Hey I know this sounds like a stupid qeustion but is there a way i can tell what kind of memory i have?? I built my system two years ago and cant for the life of me remeber what kind of memory i have. I know its crucial, im wanting to buy more ram but cant remeber if its PC2100, 2700, or 3200. thanx in advance for the help

does it say on the lable?
if not see if you can see what speed it is running at. it should tell you at the post screen or in the bios
266 = pc2100
333 = pc2700
400 = pc3200
you could also try a program called CPUz, just google it. it's a windows app, but i got it to run with WINERegistered Linux User # 392752

yeah well ill proly just open the cause and take a look really didnt want to until i had to, but its no biggie

Considering what operating system you are running, you might want to consider using a tool like aida32. Not sure if they have a linux compatible version of the software but it displays all of the hardware information that you could ever want.
