Help Mounting Hard Disks in FSTAB
I was wondering if someone could help. I am new to linux and have my hard disk partioned a few times I have two partions which are FAT32 that I use for windows and windows documents. I can get linux to access these partions if I mount them manually each time and I have to code to enter in to FSTAB but FSTAB is setup to read only and I can't figure out how to change the attributes of the files so I can edit it

To edit fstab, you need to be root.

Does this mean I have to log in to code and edit it from there. I need idiot proof instructions.

No. Just open a console and su. You can then use a text editor to modify fstab.
