Buzzing sounds on mouse and window movement
I have an Ubuntu Linux distro installed (hoary 5.04 w/KDE). My box is based on an ASUS A7V400-MX Series MOBO which has a VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 50) audio controller.
I am experiencing an annoying hum or buzzing in synchrony when I move the cursor around on a page, or when I move a window around. Sound, in general is good, using various standard sound apps like XMMS and AmarOK.
Is the problem with the ambient buzzing due to the VIA driver for the board? If so would anyone know of a better driver? I dont know exactly what driver I currently have attached, but its the one that is natively installed. If anyone else has had this issue and has fixed it, I would appreciate any kind of help.
If I just need to go and get another sound board, thats acceptable, and a good suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks,
kork
