Want to Load an Icon When USB Storage Device is Plugged In
I would like to find a script that will load an icon when a USB drive is plugged in. I just connected an 80GB USB Western Digital hard drive to my Mepis distribution, and WD included two files on the drive: a graphic of their logo (an icon) and a script that points to the icon for installation on the desktop. The script, naturally, doesn't work with Linux, but I would like to locate one that will. Hopefully, someone can help with this. I have another USB storage device connected to my system, and it would be useful to be able to quickly identify each of them them "graphically". Thanks.

Normally you should be able to create a link to the usb device on your desktop... Off course it will always be there, even when it's not connected, I don't know if that's what you're looking for.
