Cannot install Slot 1 CPU
I am having trouble installing a Pentium III 650 mhz slot 1 processor on a PCChips M748lmrt mainboard. I set JP7 to 1-2 and JP20 to 2-3 and it still doesn't work. The options for both of the jumpers are:
JP7:1-2=slot 1 sense
2-3=Socket 370 sense
JP20:1-2=Non FCPGA Pentium III CPU
2-3=FCPGA Pentium III CPU
I have tried all possible combinations and it still doesn't work. The CPU I know is okay and the mainboard too because when I place the original processor(a socket 370 Celeron at 500 mhz)the board works. I've also tried going into the BIOS and when I go into PnP CPU and enter 100 times x6.5 with the Celeron processor it still doesn't work when I switch them. Also I can't change the voltage of the CPU because when I go into "hardware monitor" in the BIOS the options are shaded and I can't go down to change them. I think this has something to do with the fact that the BIOS is suppose to automatically detect the Celeron processor. Can someone help me?
