QLA2xxx fail over module for Suse 9.3

    Hello everyone

Does anyone know if the qla2xxx and qla2300 modules included with Suse 9.3 still support fail over ? I believe the option is supposed to be ql2xfailover.
If I do a modinfo on qla2xxx I do not see the ql2xfailover param option.
Can I then assume that it is no longer available?
The drivers from the qlogic site only support the 2.4 kernel.

I am trying to get fail over to work with my Qlogic fibre channel cards.

Suse 9.3 has no problem seeying the drives (in fact is sees 2 sets because of the dual connection), but I have not found a way to do fail over. I know there is the raid Multipath setting I can setup, but that does not allow me to use LVM (AFAIK). Then there is the linux multipath tools, but the documentation isn't the best and there are reports that it is not quite stable.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

To answer my own question, it looks like the failover parameter was removed, not sure in which version of Suse. Guess I will have to look at other options.
