Hi
I'm currently using this purple modem
under Debian.Yesterday it works real fine.
I was happy.
Today can't work
I've got a "LCP:timeout sending config request"
So I did what they say in the faq:I suppress the pid

I cant say I've been able to find much about this. I personaly dont use DSL. but USB and a Network connection make for a headache.

I did find this site which seems to do a good job over setup.
If you have the option, sell that modem on ebay or something and by an ethernet DSL modem that complies with the PPoE standards.

PPPOE = PPP over ethernet so basicly you can use any ethernetcard to use adsl. The software I use to connect with can be found at www.roaringpenguin.com/pppoe
Good luck
