blowing p4 up
i need help overheating my p4 1.8

u mean u want to cause it to overheat?? if so, just remove the fan, and play a couple of recent games for an hour. that should get it at least close, if that fails, instead of a desk fan, get a heater fan and take the side off and blow that in, or unplug your case fans and leave the case sides on.
If u mean it's overheating and u wanna stop it, then add a coupla extra case fans? Better CPU fan, proper thermal gel between CPU/heat sink?"I am not an alcoholic, alcoholics go to meetings"

The only way you can do this is with a flame, other heat source, or applying high core voltage (note this may take time), the P4 has internal circuits that will shut it's self down to prevent damage.

yea the protection is the bugger...i assume your doing a insurance claim for new hardware, the external heat source may work
