Memory stick
Ok, flash drive working (JAMD, alias RH9)
Added this to fstab
/dev/sda /mnt/intelli vfat user,noauto 0 0
Can read and write using file manager (super user)
Read only otherwise

That's as far as I got with RH9 and a memory stick as well.

here is the line from my fstab. It lets me mount and r/w as user.
/dev/sda1 /mnt/usbdrive vfat noauto,users,rw,exec,umask=002 0 0

Damn, I've overwritten my RH with Suse now. Good to know it can be done though.
