C-Media CMI9880 drivers
The 2.6.12.3 kernel doesn't seem to have support for this chipset. Anyone have a fix? It's the only sound device I have, I'm sure there is a way to get support for it.

what have you tried?

No I havent ran those because it would do no good. There is no support for this sound chipset in the kernel and there are no linux drivers for the device that I can find. I was wondering if anyone has discovered a work around.
EDIT: I ran alsaconf and it did not find a PnP or PCI card, as I predicted.
