Issue with Creative DVD-ROM
i have a Creative DVD-ROM (12x) which keeps ejecting any CDs put into it. DVDs work fine but CDs (audio, video or data) are all rejected.
If i boot into Windows they're accepted normally. However, on bootup the drive won't recognise them (they eject thus i can't boot from this drive) and if i boot up GeeXboX they're not recognised either.
Any ideas what this could be down to? Faulty drive (i've seen this mentioned, but never resolved, elsewhere on the 'net)? MoBo needs flashing?
i've tried running it as the Master/Slave/only drive on both IDE ports and the results are the same.Registered Linux User #379728
