Take a look at LinuxPrinting.org to see if it's supported under Linux:

If you don't find anything specific to that exact model number, try using the driver for a similar HP printer. HP supports Linux better than any other major manufacturer and they have a long history of using standardized drivers, formats, etc.

the hp project homepage on sourceforge is a good place to start looking for the drivers you need.

Contact Hp technical support, by E_mail,they are excelent.
I had the same problem, the initial response was a bit sloppy but Quality Contril picked it up and within hours I had a working printer.

you can also try looking at the cups page. www.cups.org this is what you will use to print with.
