    run level 3 to run level 5


    I have been experimenting with run level 3 ,but now I can't get back to run level 5. How do I do this?

    Just use a text editor such as nano to edit you inittab file.

    Code:
    nano /etc/inittab
    Look for this line

    id:3:initdefault:
    Change that 3 to a 5. If you are using a Slackware based distro, change the 3 to a 4.
