2 soundcards...
Alright... Me again... I decided to buy a dirt cheap soundcard and managed to get sounds from my Fedora Core 1 distro... However
My system is now seeing two soundcards:
1. ESS Technology and
2. CMedia Electronics
I am doing System Settings -> Soundcard detection and then a little window with two tabs (one for each soundcard) is appearing. If I check the tab for ESS and use the primary audio device with the ESS allegro to test sound I don't get anything but if I use the CM8738 primary audio device with the ESS tab I hear sounds (a guitar melody...) OK? Time to do the same test with the CMedia Tab: When I use the ESS as the primary audio device I hear the guitar... With the other option for the primary audio device I hear nothing... Hmmm.... What can I do?
Hey, at least I have sound now...
