    HD Damaged?

    Is my HD damaged?

    Partition Magic gives me errors.

cfdisk gives me an error about DOS MBR.

fdisk tells me it's unable to open.

    Livecd's can't mount it.

It has NetBSD on, and it will boot up fine, but I can't seem to change the format to Fat32, NTFS or Ext.

Do I need to be on BSD to change the format?

Hmm.. I'm not completely sure but I don't think you can change the format of a partition to any format you want.. I mean, you can convert FAT to NTFS, or viceversa (I think), ext2 to ext3, etc.. but I don't think you can convert it to anything you want.
