Hi, I'm also having problems with my webcam but maybe I can point you in the correct direction.
The Linux Documentation Project HOW-TO for Webcams
This is a step-by-step resource for setting up your webcam.
To me it looks like your device is not natively supported by the Linux Kernel yet. But you may be lucky enough to have kernel modules available to you that can get your 'Image Sensor' working.
