    device descriptor read/64, error -84

Hi! I logged on a HID-USB-Device on my Linux SuSE 9.3 PC and I get every time these strange messages:

ewien_ogu kernel : usb 1-1:new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and adress28
    ewien_ogu kernel : usb 1-1: device not accepting address 28, error -84
    ewien_ogu kernel : usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -84
    ewien_ogu kernel : usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -84
    ewien_ogu kernel : usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71

The strange thing is that the device is known as HID device and works without problems under Windows XP but not under Linux Suse(?). I googled the Errormessage but without success.

Does anyone know why this error occurs and what I have to do that my device runs also under Linux?
    cheers
