rodent problem
i have a ps/2 mouse that works but a usb 5 button that doesn't. problem is the ps/2 mouse is ghetto and the usb is decent. how do i get the usb to work.
oh yeah, red hat 7 on a dell poweredge 500 sc. if that helps.

i'm in the same boat sadly, my nice 5 button is only recognized as a 3 button... Really loses some of it's functionality. It's weird though- In Doom3 and such, one of the extra buttons is detected, just not in regular use.
Cause the whole world loves it when you don\'t get down.
And the whole world loves it when you make that sound.

a simple problem and noone has any suggestions. or noone bothers to post them. this has been a giant waste of my time.

nevermind, i just logged in as root and ran mouseconfig. then rebooted x
