Is the CD-RW coming to the end of its life?

    Hi folks,

    On running
    # cdrecord dev=ATA:1,0,0 blank=all -v -eject

to blank a CD-RW following warning prompted at the end:
    Blanking entire disk
cdrecord: Success. blank unit: scsi sendcmd: no error
    CDB: A1 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
    status: 0x2 (CHECK CONDITION)
    Sense Bytes: 70 00 04 00 00 00 00 0C 00 00 00 00 09 02 00 00
Sense Key: 0x4 Hardware Error, Segment 0
Sense Code: 0x09 Qual 0x02 (focus servo failure) Fru 0x0
Sense flags: Blk 0 (not valid)
cmd finished after 345.964s timeout 9600s
    cdrecord: Cannot blank disk, aborting.
I did it twice with the same warning.

Please advise how to rectify it OR to check whether the CD-RW is already coming to its life end.
