    Looking for Suggestions...

    Hey Guys,

    I am putting together a new PC and will be installing Linux (either SUSE or Ubuntu). Looking for recomendations for sound cards, video cards and the like that have good driver support.

    Alsa has made my Creative Sound Cards work on several Distros. And my nVidia graphics cards all work out of the box.
    Desktop: Dual Xeon 2.8 GHz 1.5 GB RAM Ubuntu/XP Pro

    any soundcard really,and as stated above Nvidia for graphics

    I've had to Nvidia Geforce card and both worked perfectly (in many different distros) so I'd stick to nvidia.

    As for sound what I do know is that the creative labs cards work very well
