Strange pppd message...
I want to use GPRS modem to connect to the Internet. It is build on Nokia 12i and communicates mith my PC through USB-Serial Converter (with ftdi_sio driver). After I load converter module I can communicate with modem by /dev/ttyUSB0 device. I've even noticed (when I accidentally left running kppp terminal connected to modem), that chatscripts are working well and my modem dials number and waits for login/pass and so on.
Now let's get to the point. Although the modem has dialled number and connected pppd displays the following error messages:
---
Serial connection established.
Couldn't set tty to PPP discipline: Invalid argument
Disconnecting...
Disconnected.
Serial link disconnected.
---
Does anybody know what is wrong?
I'd be very grateful for help.

My config:
- AMD Athlon XP 1800+,
- VIA KT-266A based ASRock Motherboard,
- USB 2.0 (ehci_hcd fully configured, works in 100%),
- 128 MB RAM,
- unmodified Slackware 10.0
