    So you're wanting to know how to download pictures off of it? There are a few good Linux programs to use you'll have to experiment with. gthumb now comes with the ability to download images. There is also gtkam. My favourite though, if you have it installed, (or can install it), is digikam. All are fairly intuitive. Just open, find you camera and download...
