    Audigy 2 configuration/problems

Hey guys, alright first things first i'm a huuuuge noob with linux. Just been fiddling with it the past couple of days on my desktop.

So i'm running the latest version of Kanotix. It detected my Audigy 2 but none of the sounds appear to be working (i've turned them up, though i'm unsure if there is a default mute or something?). Also ran alsaconf, says it set up everything but i'm still having no luck.

I tried to install the latest version of emu10k but i can't even get it to install properly. ./configure works but when i do "make" it errors out on everything. Now that I think of it I haven't gotten any of those make commands to work properly on any file i've tried to install :S.

    tips would be appreciated,

    thanks

Usually, it works properly if you do this:

    alsaconf (to setup the card)
alsamixer (to set the volume levels)
alsactl store (to save the volume levels)
