fedora doesn't register my ethernet properly
I'm having real problems getting my ethernet to work properly. First off, let me tell you that I'm a linux newbie, and secondly let me tell you I've looked in a lot of places for solutions.
I have an IP Plus IP100 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter, but when I install fedora core 64, it comes up as Sundance ethernet card or something. This ethernet adapter came with my ABIT motherboard. Other people have had the same problem but nobody seems to be answering their posts, probably because nobody knew.
When I try to boot fedora as root, it says add a line to etc/conf or something, and then when I go there to try to edit it, it says it can't be displayed, even when I try to open it using different programs.
Does anyone know what to do? I've looked online for drivers, and can't seem to find them.
Thanks in advance,
