I'm not sure what all of the specific requirements are for each of the programs you listed. But if you get an RPM (does Slackware use RPM's?) or compile from source, it should tell you if something is missing.
If you're using KDE, I think I'd recommend using kamera because of it's integration into konqueror. It works really well on my system.HP Pavilion dv6000t

hmm i cant see a source code for kamera..only RPMs..m using slackware...any help/suggestions?
